Southwest Airlines' greatest customer service story stems from a tragedy…
An elderly man received terrible news: his three-year-old grandson was beaten to death by his mother's boyfriend. The doctor and family decided to use this boy's organs to save another boy who was in a coma at 9:00 pm the next day.
That also means that his grandfather has very little time to say goodbye one last time, because he still has to travel from LA to Tucson, then take a plane to Denver. Fortunately, when he contacted Southwest Airlines, he was prioritized for a last-minute flight after explaining his special situation.
After all efforts, he was at the airport 2 hours before the plane took off, but the bad luck did not seem to stop. That day, the airport was extremely crowded, forcing him to wait tiredly and nervously in long lines and by the time he reached the exit, he was 12 minutes late.

The story is about a woman whose legs are numb and very sensitive after some medical intervention. Because of that, most of her previous shoes became inappropriate. This is also the reason why she decided to order six new pairs of shoes from Zappos, in the hope that one of them could improve the situation.
After receiving the shoes, she was forced to contact Zappos for further instructions on the return procedure and to explain her case.
